Erratic Ramblings began in September of 2016 as a humble blog known as Indecision and Wanderlust. Dreamt up by Emily Schultz, it was a place for people who struggle with making decisions and people who long to travel and explore this great world of ours. After a few, short months, however, it became clear that it was meant to be something different – something more. Thus, Erratic Ramblings was born.
Today, it is a company that specializes in helping people lead better, more fulfilling lives by using various coaching and consulting practices. It is a meeting place for individuals who strive for freedom and have a desire to live life to the fullest. We all have things in our lives that we’d like to change, and Erratic Ramblings is here to assist people with realizing these changes.
Since the day it started, Erratic Ramblings has aimed to show people how to think differently. It serves as a reminder that we all have unique perspectives on life and can learn from one another. Life hands us endless opportunities to gain more knowledge and to experience new things. We are constantly creating ourselves, but we often feel alone on the ride. This company strives to make sure people know they’re not.
Hi there. My name is Emily Schultz, and I’m the founder of Erratic Ramblings. I am a free spirit who loves to learn, explore, and write. As an online entrepreneur, I run two websites and work as a coach and consultant. My goal is to help as many people with their journeys as possible. My own journey has been an interesting one full of both good and bad things, and it’s nowhere near being over.
I believe you shouldn’t have to limit yourself to following only one course, and I’ve never been able to settle into a singular niche. My interests cover a wide expanse of topics and are sometimes incongruent with one another, but that’s what makes my life interesting. The one thing many of them have in common, however, is the inclination toward growth and learning. There’s so much to experience and discover in life, and I’d like to see and do as much as I can.
A Little More About My Journey
Upon graduating college, I had no clue what to do. I spent some time working with children who had emotional and behavioral issues, and ultimately became a special education paraprofessional. After a couple years, I decided to fulfill one of my childhood dreams and moved to the Grand Tetons. I spent a few months as a nanny there, but ended up returning to the Midwest, where I once again worked as a paraprofessional.
While the job had many wonderful aspects, there were several negative ones that ended up outweighing the good. Due to a spiteful and dishonest boss, my workplace became rather hostile. As a result, when I was presented with the opportunity to move to California, I happily took it. I had vowed to find a way to work for myself, so I wouldn’t be faced with another bad boss situation, and this move provided the perfect opportunity to begin doing so.
This is when I decided to start Indecision and Wanderlust, which later became Erratic Ramblings. Setting up an online business has been a long and arduous ordeal, but I’ve never once had any regrets. Now, I’d like to help others take control of their lives the way I have. I’m well aware that the paths we take often have twists and turns; they go uphill and downhill. I’m here to help people navigate these crazy trails.
